An Insight Into The Leftist Mentality

Why Jack Layton will never live at 24 Sussex Dr.

There is a group of Canadian voters who have never voted for a political organization, always against one.

They park their preferences with the party that, during that particular election, they hope will defeat the party they most hate. They must not be confused with the “undecided.”

Rather, their approach is prominent among radical ideological voters of the extreme right and left.

It is common to see radical rightists supporting provincial Liberals in say, British Columbia, where the Grits are their “only hope to stop the socialists.”

In Ontario, it goes the other way with the radical leftists.

Their vote goes to the Liberals when they have to defeat, say, a Mike Harris. It’s called “strategic voting,” the “Buzz Hargrove” syndrome.

But this is the syndrome that will always stop the federal NDP at the doorstep of Langevin Block in Ottawa.

Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
