Hopefully The Sun Is Right

We need strong leadership not only to deal with our internal problems but also to deal with foreign matters. Hopefully the Liberals will not see the middle east crisis as someone else's problem.......

EDITORIAL: Grits made the right choice

A word of warning, Conservatives. Do not underestimate new federal Liberal leader Stephane Dion.

Yesterday, Dion came from third place at the leadership convention in Montreal to dramatically defeat the two chosen candidates of the Liberal party establishment, Michael Ignatieff and Bob Rae.

Dion did it despite being dismissed early on by the national media — and most Liberals — as a smart but boring policy wonk with no charisma, who was unsaleable in a big part of Canada.

Sound familiar? It’s exactly what the national media — and many Conservatives — used to say about Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Dion won the contest following a dramatic endorsement from fourth-place finisher Gerard Kennedy — whose future in the federal party is now assured — following the second ballot.

From there, Dion never looked back as he climbed past both Rae and Ignatieff into first place on the third ballot and easily defeated Ignatieff in the final head-to-head showdown, by a margin of 2,521 to 2084.

Dion was our editorial choice among the four frontrunners for Liberal leader.

We believe the Grits have made a good decision, not only for themselves, but for Canada.

Let's wait and see........

I lean to the right but I still have a heart and if I have a mission it is to respond to attacks on people not available to protect themselves and to point out the hypocrisy of the left at every opportunity.MY MAJOR GOAL IS HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY AND STUPIDITY OF THE LEFTISTS ON TORONTO CITY COUNCIL. Last word: In the final analysis this blog is a relief valve for my rants/raves.
