City Hall: Protest against possible TTC cuts to hit Nathan Phillips Square next week
July 20th, 2007

Saturday, July 28, Torontonian Vanessa Delsooz is taking her frustration over threats of TTC service cuts and fair hikes to Nathan Phillips Square. Claiming no affiliation with any particular organization or political group, Delsooz has decided to organize a rally to protest slashing services and discontinuing routes. The rally will start at 1:00pm at Nathan Phillips Square (perhaps one should be organized for Queen’s Park too?)
“The TTC gives no incentive to ride the red. It’s as if the more worse the service is, the more we have to pay,” says Delsooz in her press release. “The cost between public transit and driving a car is becoming less and less!”
Those on Facebook can check out Delsooz’s group “anti TTC cutbacks” for further info and discussion.
Ed. Note: This afternoon, I mistakenly wrote that the rally would be tomorrow. It is in fact Saturday, July 28. Thanks to Jerrold Litwinenko at BlogTO for alerting me to this.
