Genuine progress in past four years

Is Ontario better off than it was four years ago?

The reality on a personal level........

*the last time I went to the emergency department of our local hospital I waited 4 hours before my name was called and an additional 3 hours before I saw a doctor.
*my wife's family doctor is closing his practice and she will now join 1 million others looking for a family doctor.
*I am paying higher property taxes but see reduction in services.
*the cost of registering my car will double when the City Of Toronto imposes a new tax
*not a day goes by that we don't hear of another act of violence in our schools.
*ride public transit with a group of students and it appears that the word F&%k has been added to the teaching of English in our schools.
*police are doing their job in arresting gangbangers but they are released on bail within hours and it takes forever to see them come to trial
*it is a virtually impossible to find products that are manufactured in Canada
*you going shopping for basic needs and you wonder when there will be a recall on the product
*the only sector that seems to be growing is the opening of Dollar Stores
*it seems that virtually everyone that I work with in the retail sector has a slew of degrees which they can't utilize
*promises of improvements in care of seniors has become an annual media event and that is far as it goes

.....and the list goes on and on but we survive at the cost of spending less time with our families, buying less, being more frugal in what we buy to just survive.
