TORONTO — A 27-year-old Toronto man is facing a slew of firearms, drug and forcible confinement charges stemming from an incident at a downtown hotel early Tuesday.
It's alleged a man used a handgun to hold two sex trade workers in a room against their will.
Police say the suspect had fled by the time they arrived, but he was located later in the day and arrested following a short foot chase.
Officers say he was in possession of a loaded submachine gun, crack cocaine and Oxycodone pills, and a large amount of cash.
Jason Mills of no fixed address is facing a total of 28 charges.
The accused had a scheduled court appearance Wednesday morning in Toronto.

the government is content to keep certain things like prostitution, pot, illegal. I know it doesn't make any sense, but therin lies your answer. Maybe email your buddies in Canada's 'new' government. They're busy trying out laws that were already proven ineffective for decades.
