| Moved to or showing sudden, impatient irritation, esp. over some trifling annoyance. |
Miller and his cohorts are exhibiting the same type of behaviour that is common in supermarkets when a mother won't let her child have a certain item......hold their breath until mom caves it.
Petulant response to serious problem |
With each passing day it becomes more and more apparent, at least to me, that we have a bunch of petulant schoolyard bullies steering this city (into bankruptcy.)
Last Monday's squeaker of a council decision to defer any action on two proposed new revenue tools, er, tax grabs, until after October's provincial election should have been a wake-up call to City Hall's socialist regime that they'd better get serious about putting their own house in order before coming to the public trough yet again to bail them out.
It should have sent a loud and clear message to Mayor David Miller and his cast of council beggars that Toronto citizens aren't fooled by their cries of poverty, made even as they continue to spend like drunken sailors. It should have forced the mayor to hunker down and come up with a fiscal Plan B.
Not so. Faced with a crisis of his own making, Miller opted yesterday to hit Toronto taxpayers right between the eyeballs with a long list of service cuts to the TTC.
