By SUN STAFFFATHER, SON DUO NABBED FOR FRAUD
A 42-year-old Toronto man and his 18-year-old son are charged with fraud-related offences after two laptop computers were bought with a stolen credit card in Ajax.
Authorities are also trying to determine if the duo are in Canada illegally.
Samuel Essien, 42, of King St. E., Toronto, faces numerous fraud related charges. Christian Samuel Titus-Essien, 18, of King St. E., Toronto, is charged with possessing a counterfeit mark, forgery and fraudulent use of a citizenship card.
DO YOU KNOW HER?
Police are asking for help in identifying a woman suffering from amnesia. The woman was admitted to Scarborough Grace Hospital on Monday under the Mental Heath Act as a Jane Doe.
Police say the woman remains unidentified and is still suffering from memory loss. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477.
GIRLS SWARMED FOR IPOD
Two 15-year-old girls were robbed of an iPod and a cellphone when they were swarmed by up to 20 teens. Police said the swarmers kicked, punched and threw the victims to the ground in the Monday attack at Rogers Rd. and Old Weston Rd.
MOM FLEES WITH CHILD
Toronto Police believe a 20-year-old woman who took off with her 5-month-old son is heading west. Jessilyn Paulhus, 20, and her son Ryan Tenhave are believed to be heading to B.C., where she has relatives, Det. Hugh Wong said.
The CAS has an apprehension warrant for the child, Hugh said.
