What a truly great idea to make Toronto a separate province, an idea that has been proposed in the past by former mayor Mel Lastman.

However, why stop at just being a separate province? Why not a sovereign nation? By doing that we could achieve many things. First and foremost, we could anoint Mayor David Miller as King David of Toronto and all of his supporters could be appointed courtiers.

As a nation state, Miller could then make a demand to the United Nations that we are a Third World nation in need of the financial support of that world body, because, obviously, a nation that can only afford to pay its king a measly $160,000 per year and his councillors an equally measly $95,000 (plus expenses) per year is obviously in need of United Nations support.
